Hometown Buffet
3670 Soldono Blvd
Columbus OH United States

Hometown Buffet
Operated as one of a large chain of buffet restaurants operated by Buffet Inc., founded in 1983 and a merger in 1996 between Buffet Inc. (Old Country Buffets) and Hometown Buffet Inc., which was orginally formed when one of the two founders split to start up Hometown. The Buffet restaurants use a 'scatter' buffet system that allows a wide selection of food spread across different counters, as opposed to some other buffets where you walk along one long counter. The 'scatter' buffet means no waiting for your food, with the exception of the prime roasts that the chefs are slicing as customers walk up to them. This is traditional home cooking of many types of food from Italian to many choices in American. Pricing is fixed for adults, discounts for seniors and priced by age for children. It's all you can eat and drink including a soft yogurt and dessert bar, although you can't take any of it home. Balloons for the kids and plenty of seating, usually the only line is to pay for the food before you enter the restaurant. To use the senior discount you must register with a special card. Check their Web site for daily specials and menu choices. This particular Hometown buffet is located in the Consumer Square shopping center next to Target.
