Dinosaur Bbq, Rochester, New York

Dinosaur Bbq
99 Court Street
Rochester NY United States

The restaurant sits next to the Genessee River in downtown Rochester in what was formerly a train station. The place is mostly dark, wood floors and wood paneled walls. The decor is close to a standard TGI Friday's-like place with a more local twist. Of particular interest is the array of license plates from around the country over the bar. Bumper stickers are also plastered haphazardly over the bar area. The place is normally pretty busy and loud with the volume peaking at the bar area, which also has high tables for eating. They have blues bands come in most nights which keeps the place rocking till close. Most dishes are reasonable, $25 will let you bring home lunch the next day. A lot of southern style dishes including pulled pork (NC-style) and brunswick stew. Corn bread, greens, fried green tomatoes, chili, beans and rice, you get the picture. The bar is well stocked with beer and other spirits the service is usually fast.
