Loch Fyne Restaurant
95 - 99 Western Road
Brighton and Hove England United Kingdom
This restaurant has now CLOSED (Jan 2006). Part of a small chain of restaurants offering the same core menu of shellfish and smoked fish sourced from Loch Fyne, a deep sea Scottish loch: along with a wide variety of other fresh fish from around the coast. Other ingredients are localy sourced ie. either from around Loch Fyne or the locale of the restaurant in question. A bright, light, slightly clinical decor. Downstairs is dominated by the large display of fresh fish and seafood at the rear separating the, almost, open plan kitchen from the seating area. Upstairs, as yet, remains largely a mystery but is presumed to be similarly equiped with an assortment of decent sized 2, 4 and 6 seat blond wood tables and matching chairs. The 'chain' menu is suplemented by local deviations on a chalkboard 'specials' menu.
