Ristorante Cantare has opened on June 19th, 2006 in the midst of Tokyo, Azabudai, overlooking the Tower of Tokyo. Chef Andrea Cozzolino came to Japan 15 years ago with passion to introduce Italian cuisine and culture to Japan. Since then, he has been leading Italian cuisine in Japan. Artist Mr. Chiaki Horikoshi is a prestigious painter, with a degree of oil painting from the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo. He is currently based in Madrid, Spain, and is esteemed not only as a painter, but also as a ceramist and cante (Flamenco singer). Ristorante Cantare is a collaboration by the two maestros; Chef Cozzolino and artist Horikoshi. Chef Cozzolino’s Italian has a flavour of Florence, Toscana. Toscana was the origin of European cuisine; it is known for sophisticated taste and the skill of bringing out the quality of fine ingredients. Chef Cozzolino’s Italian can be enjoyed from various angles, flavour, aroma, and colour. Furthermore, thirteen jaunty and passionate paintings by artist Horikoshi, nine of them a part of one big artwork, create warm atmosphere. You can expect a flawless moment in the restaurant. Open-kitchen design allows customers to observe the process of cooking. Your five senses will be filled by the harmony of Chef Cozzolino’s Italian and artist Horikoshi’s masterpiece artworks.
