Swans Hotel & Pub
506 Pandora Ave
Victoria BC Canada
Swans has come a long way from its ugly duckling beginnings in 1913 when it was a granary and seed warehouse. Lovingly restored by local craftsmen under the eye of the late Michael Williams Swans Pub was one of the first brew pubs to open in Victoria (in 1989). Diners can eat in the usually crowded and rather raucous main pub with its lovely wooden decor and First Nations art or in the wrap around conservatory with windows opening onto the street (although these may be closed due to that embarassing West Coast wetness - otherwise known as rain). There are the usual pub fare offerings with a bit more emphasis on British specialties, such as Bangers and Mash and Shepherds Pie.
