Mama Lila's Bistro, Miami, Florida

Mama Lila's Bistro
1915 Ponce de Leon Blvd.
Miami FL United States

Formerly Lila's Bistro of Downtown Miami, Mama Lila's Bistro is a family enterprise forged to showcase chef Elisa Valderrama's love of food. With sister Lili Valderrama at her side in the kitchen, Elisa has merged her classic culinary training with the family's Peruvian heritage. Rosa, oldest of the four Valderrama sisters, runs the front of the house, while youngest sibling Roberta, an avid wine enthusiast and actor, lends her support and knowledge to the venture. The fare is an eclectic mix of Latin, Asian and Mediterranean influences with an emphasis on American classics. The menu offers distinctive grills, innovative salads, gourmet sandwiches, amazing soups and serious desserts lovingly crafted by the chef. The restaurant's signature dishes include a Guava Glazed Salmon grill, an Oriental Noodle Stir-fry with veggies, chicken, beef or shrimp, the addictive Lila's Chicken Salad – baked nut-crusted chicken over fresh greens with red grapes and muenster cheese cubes tossed in a sweet onion dressing – and Elisa's Jalapeño, Chicken and Cheddar soup.
